EtiquetteketeerTM Camp

 

Students become an EtiquetteketeerTM , an official member of The Good Manners Club, by completing a series of etiquette lessons in this 4-day training camp.   As an official member of the club, you not only attend and enjoy the events in the camp, but also take home a folder full of all the information covered in the training.  You also receive Kentucky's Etiquette LadyTM as a reference for future questions or advice.  Class schedule is as follows:

 

Day 1 - Milk and Cookies Welcome Reception

Body Language/Handshaking/Introductions - Students practice posture by maneuvering through an obstacle course with a book on their head, role play introductions, and learn the power of a good handshake.

 

Day 2 - Savvy Dining Skills - Students are gently navigated through a 4-course meal while learning tips and traditions of fine dining.

Day 3 - Calligraphy/Thank you card writing

 

Day 4 - Tea Party Graduation - Parents and Grandparents are encouraged to join us on the camp's final day as students celebrate their hard work and become official members of The Good Manners Club as an EtiquetteketeerTM!

July 3-6 and July 17-20

Bring your heels for this girls only 4-day workshop designed to empower and inspire the young ladies.  The class schedule is as follows:

 

Day 1 - Body Language Skills/Handshaking/Introductions. Students will get an introduction to walking in heels around an obstacle course with books on their heads. This exercise is designed to improve one's posture.  (Note: Students do not have to wear heels. If there is another pair of shoes they will become successful in, please bring or wear them instead.)

 

Day 2 - Social Media Makeover and Interviews.   This course teaches manners to heed when using social media, and also how to use social media as a personal portfolio to impress prospective colleges and employers.  This lesson also seeks to sensitize students to the dangers of identity theft and develops a protection plan for them to begin using immediately. Cell phone etiquette will also be discussed.

Mock job interviews will be performed.

Day 3 - Skin Care/Make-up Application/Intro to Dating. (Note: Students not yet interested in these topics may be picked up early.)

 

Day 4 - Savvy Dining Skills.  Students will navigate a 4-course dining experience. Emphasis will be placed on learning formal table settings, conversation skills, American and Continental dining methods, and an introduction to finger bowls.

The Bowtie Academy is a 4-day course designed to empower and inspire the young gentlemen.  The class schedule is as follows:

 

Day 1 - Body Language Skills/Handshaking/Introductions.

Day 3 - Skin Care/Grooming/Intro to Dating/Tutorials in knotting neck and bow ties. (Note: Students not yet interested in these topics may be picked up early.)
